Mine Safety Appliances, (MSA) is the
world leader in combustible and toxic gas leak detection and in oxygen
deficiency monitoring. MSA's UltimaX series of self-calibrating
gas leak detectors are available in plastic NEMA4X and 316 stainless
steel explosion-proof housings. Large LCD displays provide
scrolling messages to assist during the automatic calibration routine,
error messages and access to the monitor's internal database.
Options include red and green status LEDs, four 5 amp internal relays
for caution, warning, alarm and trouble, an internal 120VAC power supply
and terminals for remote reset. A 4-20 mA DC output is standard.
UL Approved.
Since the sensors are "smart", they
can be calibrated away from the monitor. That allows MSA to offer
their Sensor Exchange Program where they send the user a certified
calibrated sensor every three, four or six months. Simply unscrew
the existing sensor and exchange for the newly calibrated sensor.
Then return the old sensor in the pre-paid shipping carton and you're
done. A calibration certificate is included for your records.
